The Grateful Dead

Moldover has been contracted by Mickey Hart (drummer for The Grateful Dead) to help prepare Mickey's controllerism rig for the upcoming Dead & Company tour with John Mayer. Mickey's performance rig features live sample triggering, audio processing, and interaction between a dozen different controllers, custom software and hardware. Rumor has it that Moldover will also be adding a new electronic triggering system to Mickey's West African Balafon.

Ableton Live is the music software practically synonymous with live electronic music. Ableton is hosting their first event ever, this fall in Berlin. Moldover will be there to talk about The Future of Controllerism.
Summer and fall tours

After a round of gigs in the northern California area, Moldover will be heading to his favorite place on earth, Black Rock City (where Burning Man happens) for a solid two weeks of DJ sets, live performances, and special prototype acoustic shows. Live Remashing: open sourced

Moldover originally launched his solo career with an ambitious live and improvised remix project called "Live Remashing". This project, and the video Moldover made to explain it, drew the eyes of the world and coined the term controllerism. Recordings from the project have remained available here as Moldover has moved on to other performance styles. Now, for the first time, Moldover has made all the live remashing source files freely available to download. This includes the master project file, and all the meticulously prepared songs, samples, effects, and fancy mixing tools, designed by Moldover. Just use your favorite Bit Torrent client or tracker and search for "Moldover Live Remashing Open Source".
Guitar Wing now Shipping

Moldover's collaboration with Livid Instruments is now shipping to Kickstarter backers and stores around the world. The electric guitar (and controllerism) may never be the same...
Two of Moldover's jamboxes, The MiniMasher and The Launchbox, are now part of a six month exhibition at the San Jose Tech Museum. Tens of thousands of visitors will experience these and 14 other innovative musical instruments as part of the REBOOT: Music exhibition running now thru August 17.

The font originally created for Moldover's Light Theremin circuit-board album has been turned into a standard static-font and a customizable animated-font, both available from Animography.net. Credit goes to Colin Sebestyen of Movecraft for transforming Moldover's sketches into something so fun and useful.

Moldover teamed up with 60-Works Controllers to help artist Bassnectar realize his vision for a custom controller. This NectarControl prototype is a fusion of ideas from Bassnectars previous off-the-shelf controller, 60-Works' original designs, and The Mojo.
